Personal and company tax

Your tax return, done properly and in good time.

We work out what you owe, file your returns, and deal with HMRC for you, for individuals as well as businesses.

Who it's for

Sole traders, partners, company directors and private individuals with a tax return to file or a question for HMRC they would rather not ask themselves.

Sound familiar?

The return is due, the rules have changed again, and a brown envelope from HMRC is sitting unopened on the side.

What we do for you

  • Tax calculations and returns for Self Assessment, partnerships, corporation tax, capital gains and CIS
  • Tax advice for individuals and companies
  • Dealing directly with HMRC during tax enquiries and investigations

Tax often goes hand in hand with your accounts, but we also look after private individuals on their own.

Fixed fees, agreed in advance.

If it's left

Miss the 31 January online deadline and HMRC charges an initial £100 penalty, even if there is no tax to pay. More follows the longer it runs.

Once it's with us

Returns in on time, no surprise bills, and HMRC letters answered by someone who knows what they mean.

Self Assessment dates

The same every year, for the tax year that ended on 5 April. Late online returns get an initial £100 penalty from HMRC, even if there's no tax to pay.

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax has applied since 6 April 2026 to sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000. Lower thresholds follow, reaching £20,000 from April 2028. Ask us where you stand at your free first meeting.

Research and development (R&D) tax relief

If your limited company has developed new products, processes or services, it may qualify for R&D relief. We work with a specialist we recommend, who will carry out an initial assessment with no obligation.

We liaise with them for you, amend the returns that need amending, and submit the changes to HMRC.

“Highly recommended, Martin and his team! They have done an outstanding job with my company tax returns.”
